Canada may get its first coal-to-liquids plant in Alberta
A small Calgary company has proposed to construct Canada’s first coal-to-liquids (CTL) plant in northwest Alberta.
Mark Montemurro, the president and CEO of Alter NRG Corp, the company that has put forth the proposal, said:
As the first coal to liquids project in Canada, the project will be a significant, long-term contributor to Alberta’s economy as well as set a precedent for clean energy solutions.
